 Bertone presented the prototype vehicle built on the basis of corvetta ZR-1. The car named Bertone mantida received a completely new style, but is propelled by the same V8 engine charged power of 647 hp as the ZR-1. Fabric Corvette is one of the fastest sports cars of recent years, as evidenced by, among others one of the best times (in serial cars) on the north loop Nurburgring.
Also Bertone project can be even faster. With a flat floor and car has about 30 percent more thrust than the Corvette series. In addition, the coefficient of air resistance is only 0.25. In turn, through the use of large-scale carbon-fiber vehicle weighs 100 kg less than the Chevrolet. As a result, Bertone mantida reaches 100 km / h after 3.2 s and can achieve to 351 km / h.
